additional tones - linga & stade
ADDITIONAL TONES further develops Company Lingaâs work on the augmented body through body motion sensors, which has already been explored in its 2012 production re-mapping the body. Wearing an interactive system that transforms movement and physiological data into sound, the dancers will now be tackling the musical world of STADE, a group featuring Christophe Calpini and Pierre Audétat. The dynamic duo are famous for their improvised, quirky, and sensitive electro style that is a permanent work in progress. STADE have already worked with Pascal Auberson, Erik Truffaz, Infinite Livez, Oy, and Ganesh Geymeier. They will now return onstage to meet Company Lingaâs dancers in a dialogue between music and contemporary dance â a private conversation that boldly follows unexpected and random paths, which create a hybrid space where body movements and sounds freely flow together. With the impact of new technologies, the sound body is getting extended and dilated, growing into a complex, open, and receptive entity. When musicians are involved, this generates new choreographic models that are deeply involved within the scientific adventure of modern society.
